Angela Lauria is a domestic violence survivor, a blogger, and a life coach. She helps women create more empowered lives and she runs Journey Grrrl Publishing which is a small press dedicated to producing books & media that help people build bridges between the left and right hemispheres of the brain. She has a B.A.& M.A. in Media from The George Washington University and a PhD in Communication from The European Graduate School. Saira Saim writes on behalf on the DC Coalition Against Domestic Violence (DCCADV). She has been working in the Communication and Organizational Advancement department since March of 2010. Thao Nguyen has managed the policy campaigns at environmental, HIV/AIDS, and women’s organizations. She received her undergraduate degree in English Literature from the University of California, Irvine and a Masters in Human Rights Law from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, where she looked at violence against women in conflict situations.
